Your new role
The Creative Executive, Novelas is responsible for the creative development and end-to-end editorial stewardship of assigned novelas for WBD in Brazil and, where applicable, across Latin America. The role evaluates and shapes projects from pitch and concept through scripts, production alignment and post-production input, and acts as the primary creative point of contact for writers and internal stakeholders.

Your role accountabilities
- Lead the development of assigned novela projects, overseeing multiple simultaneous titles.
- Shape the creative and editorial direction of novela projects, by evaluating, challenging and/or approving key creative deliverables, providing precise and actionable feedback to creative partners.
- Contribute to casting, editing and post-production discussions, safeguarding the creative integrity and narrative continuity of each novela.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, creative notes, status updates and delivery records in the appropriate WBD systems, enabling transparency and access for relevant stakeholders.
- Identify emerging creative voices, writers, IP, formats and market trends that can strengthen the novela slate and support WBD's long-term content pipeline.
Qualification & Experiencie:
- Previous experience specifically in novelas/telenovelas, daily drama, melodrama, long-form serialized formats or high-volume scripted production.
- Strong knowledge of novela structures, serialized storytelling, character development, episode arcs, writers' room dynamics and audience engagement drivers.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise creative notes, decision memos, internal reports and executive-ready summaries; and to lead conversations with creators and production partners with clarity, diplomacy and authority.
- Strong project management discipline, with the ability to oversee timelines, deliverables, dependencies and competing priorities across multiple projects.
Other nice to have:
- Fluency in Spanish and/or English desirable.
- Experience working in a multinational, multicultural or regional Latin American environment.
- Experience in writing, script editing, story editing, development producing or creative production.
