Your New Role...
The Communications Manager sets, manages and evaluates PR efforts for all platforms of CNN Español and CNN International in Latin America, with a particular focus on Mexico and CNNE's operations there, to increase brand/talent awareness and loyalty, help drive viewership, online traffic and engagement, and maintain ad sales and distribution demand. This role serves as a connection between the network and the business to ensure maximum brand exposure on network initiatives. This role will be of increasing relevance and importance in the future as CNNE expands its Mexico operations and shifts towards a digital-focused content strategy.

Your Role Accountabilities...
- Work with Communications VP, head of department, network execs/talent, the broader news comms teams, as well as business units to align messaging and goals and execute PR strategy, develop materials, support events, manage interview requests and craft pitches.
- Serve as communications advisor to editorial management and talent, providing PR counsel on network plans, programming and staff changes, and assist in managing crisis situations.
- Lead communications for key editorial initiatives as well as new deals and launches in the region, working closely with production/editorial teams as well as business teams. Draft and distribute press releases to promote these efforts in the region.
- Work directly with key News LATAM stakeholders in the region, building direct and strategically valuable relationships.
- Manage day-to-day activities with PR agencies in priority LATAM markets (Argentina and Mexico)
- Execute News communications social media strategy to support the network's growing digital-focused content strategy and social media footprint.
Qualifications & Experience...
- College degree in PR, communications, journalism or related field.
- Experience in managing people and budgets.
- Fully bilingual Spanish/English
- Very strong communications skills - written and spoken.
- Able to work in a high-stress environment with multiple high priorities and shifting deadlines.
- Interest in news and knowledge about Latin America.
- Detail oriented.
- High degree of Emotional Intelligence and interpersonal skills.
