General Summary:
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is a fully integrated, broad-based entertainment company and a global leader in the creation, production, distribution, licensing and marketing of all forms of entertainment and their related businesses.
The Studio is home to one of the most successful collections of brands in the world and stands at the forefront of every aspect of the entertainment industry, from feature film, television and home entertainment production and worldwide distribution to DVD and Blu-ray, digital distribution, animation, comic books, video games, product and brand licensing, and broadcasting.
The TV Licensing business manages the distribution and licensing of television content across SVOD. WBD ANZ operates a portfolio of premium brands across pay-TV, free-to-air and theatrical platforms.
We are a leading entertainment brand on Foxtel and Sky, and the largest free-to-air commercial broadcaster in New Zealand.
Your New Role
WBD is looking for an energetic coordinator to join the Australian Commercial Operations team looking after the Discovery Channel Group.
The coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day commercial operations, overseeing commercial break and minutage availability, and ensuring the right spots and campaigns go to air across our networks in Australia.
They will work closely with our local Ad Sales partner, Foxtel Media (FM), and our Traffic and Transmission Operations (TTOps) team, based in Singapore.
Reporting to the Manager of Business Operations, this role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and time management skills, problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task to handle a diverse workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of commercials bookings, ensuring they are processed accurately in a timely manner.
- Oversee inventory usage to maximize revenues in partnership with our advertising sales house.
- Maintain relationships between stakeholders, both internal (Traffic, Media Planning, Media Prep, Marketing, Programming, Finance) and external (Foxtel Media, IMD Media)
- Selected key tasks:
- Prepare programs and breaks from TTOps and ensure break and minutage information is up to date
- Ensure sponsorship information for FM is accurate
- Import and process commercials bookings into IBMS
- Monitor creative material delivery from ad clearing house, IMD Media
- Process monthly Invoices
- Work alongside creative teams to deliver new and innovative ad sales sponsorship and client solutions deals
- Work with the necessary teams to action any occasional after hours issues
Qualities Required:
- Numerate degree and min 2 years' experience in a media operations environment
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
- An appetite for process improvement
- A strong communicator and team player
- Experience in MS Office applications
- A keen interest in the media industry and focus on its future
