Your New Role:
Proficiency in Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) is required. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure, building and managing automated CI/CD pipelines, and securing AWS/Azure accounts by adhering to best practices and governance standards defined by the GICT team.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Design and build cloud infrastructure for enterprise applications
- Automate Infrastructure deployments through IaC
- Implement and improve monitoring and alerting
- Security compliance and governance assessments
- Production readiness assessments
- Disaster recovery and business continuity planning and deployment.
Project Responsibilities:
- Participate in prioritizing, coordinating, planning, executing, and closing projects and tasks to produce the required deliverables.
- Research product and technical data to recommend products, technologies, and processes for ongoing projects.
- Plan and execute application and content serving solutions by configuring, managing, and troubleshooting infrastructure, middleware, and related applications.
Communication
- Keep DevOps and other teams updated on changes to architecture and infrastructure standards and tooling
- Keep operations and project teams well informed of changes regarding status of assigned tasks
- Create and deliver presentations to DevOps or other teams and to management
- Communicate with clients regarding maintenance, incidents, and projects
- Attend online meetings with teams in the U.S. as needed

Qualifications & Experiences:
- Minimum 3 years working experience of Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
- 5-8 years of professional experience with DevOps fundamentals, CICD & IaC, System Engineering in Linux/Windows
- Good Knowledge of scripting/automation
- Strong knowledge of automation methodologies, languages, and tooling
- Solid familiarity with Cloud Infra, Operating systems, Networking concepts and security
Knowledge/Skills & Competencies
Technical Knowledge /Skills
- Solid understanding of AWS services and products (EC2, ECS, Fargate, VPC, SQS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Experience with AWS platform for building infrastructure using IaC methodologies
- Capable of serving as a subject-matter ex pert in topics related to web hosting architecture, such as high availability, CI/CD, performance analysis, scaling, SSL, local and global load balancing, caching, and troubleshooting
- Experience with CI/CD - AWS CodeBuild, CodePipeline
- Ability to provide technical leadership and support to developers for designing and deploying modern solutions
- Solid understanding of version control systems (git), including branching and merging strategies
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Node, PowerShell
- Working knowledge of Terraform and CloudFormation for building infrastructure as code
- Strong Linux and Windows system administration background
