Your New Role...

CNN's global Visuals team is growing, and we're looking for an interdisciplinary journalist who combines data reporting, visual storytelling and editorial collaboration to produce essential, creative and groundbreaking journalism.

As a member of the global data and graphics team, you will collaborate closely with teammates and news desks across CNN to contextualize the news and tell stories on the most important issues of our time. You'll find, analyse, and visualise data across beats while also pitching and developing your own stories.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Identify and pitch opportunities for visual and data-driven storytelling tied to the news cycle.
  • Report and analyze data: Source, clean, and interpret datasets from public records, APIs, and proprietary sources to uncover insights and produce original reporting.
  • Produce clear, news-driven graphics - maps, charts and other visuals - that enhance breaking coverage and deepen long-form features.
  • Partner with reporters, editors, designers and developers to integrate visuals into daily coverage and enterprise features.
  • Explore new ways to tell stories visually and engage audiences through emerging tools and formats.
