Data Quality & Reliability

  • Design and implement comprehensive data quality frameworks to ensure operational data freshness, correctness, and accuracy
  • Establish automated data validation, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Define and enforce data governance standards and best practices across the organization
  • Conduct regular data audits and implement corrective measures to maintain data integrity

Data Pipeline Development

  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest operational data into our data warehouse
  • Optimize data pipeline performance for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Implement real-time and batch processing solutions based on business requirements
  • Ensure pipeline reliability through comprehensive testing, monitoring, and error handling

Business Intelligence & Visualization

  • Design and develop PowerBI dashboards and reports to support Operational and Engineering Excellence objectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand visualization requirements and translate them into effective data solutions
  • Create self-service analytics capabilities to empower business users
  • Establish visualization best practices and maintain a library of reusable components

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior data engineers
  • Participate in architectural decisions and technology selection for data infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Software Engineering, and Business Analytics
  • Document technical designs, processes, and best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical data infrastructure support
  • Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new technologies for potential adoption

What you'll bring:

Required Experience & Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related field
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, Java)
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining data pipelines using modern orchestration tools (Airflow, Databricks, etc.)
  • Strong experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency in PowerBI development including DAX, data modeling, and advanced visualizations
  • Experience with both real-time streaming (Kafka, Kinesis) and batch processing frameworks
  • Knowledge of data warehouse design patterns and dimensional modeling
  • Proven track record of implementing data quality monitoring and alerting systems
  • Experience with DataOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines
  • Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
