Position Summary...

Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition (Player-Coach)

We're looking for a hands-on TA leader who loves the craft of leadership recruiting as much as building a high-performing team. In this role, you'll lead three exceptional TA Partners and personally drive discreet, senior-level searches (Senior Director and Group Director) that shape the future of Sam's Club.

What you'll do...

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small but mighty team to deliver consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes across critical business areas.
  • Personally run end-to-end searches for senior leadership roles, partnering directly with executives, shaping the brief, sourcing deeply, and closing with conviction.
  • Raise the hiring bar through structured, evidence-based selection, strong calibration with hiring leaders, and a candidate experience that reflects our brand at its best.
  • Build diverse, succession-ready slates and proactive pipelines for repeatable, senior hiring needs.
  • Be a trusted advisor to VPs and business leaders, translating business strategy into a smart, practical hiring plan.
  • Drive simple, durable process improvements that increase speed and quality without adding noise.

What success looks like

  • Senior leaders feel you “get the business” and rely on you as their first call for critical hires.
  • Your team levels up, clear roles, crisp operating rhythm, shared standards, and visible growth in capability and impact.
  • Senior searches are run with discipline and heart: well-defined outcomes, tight stakeholder alignment, thoughtful sourcing strategy, smooth assessments, and confident, timely decisions.
  • Candidate experience is standout-clear, respectful, and engaging from first hello to signed offer.
  • Our leadership bench gets stronger through intentional leadership, talent pipelines and culture‑add hiring.
