Senior Director, Global People Strategic Initiatives - Corporate Functions

Position Summary...
As a key partner to the Chief People Officer for Walmart's Corporate Functions, this role is integral to shaping and executing the People strategy for associates in Global People, Finance, Global Governance and Corporate Affairs. This role sits on the Corporate Functions People Leadership team and enables collaborative decision-making and effective ways of working to drive business outcomes and deliver an exceptional associate experience.
What you'll do...
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Partner with the CPO and CFPLT on driving strategic planning and execution, with a focus on digital ways of working, emerging technology and future-of-work trends.
- Partner with the CFPLT to align, plan and prioritize people strategies and business objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between the CFPLT and the Global People community of People Ops and Strategy leads, People COE partners and business leaders Chiefs of Staff to ensure alignment, remove roadblocks, and drive accountability.
Operational & Business Rhythm Management
- Develop reporting dashboards and facilitate recurring business reviews to drive accountability towards strategic goals. This includes tracking key people metrics, initiatives, and progress toward goals and preparing executive level status updates.
- Plan and facilitate recurring operating mechanisms including CFPLT team meeting cadences and offsites with clear agendas, follow-ups, and action tracking.
- Own and manage EC updates and cross-functional executive reporting.
- Prepare materials for key meetings including recurring annual documents (e.g. CF CPO objectives, EC leader quarterly and annual reports).
- Plan and manage CF People non-wage budget, contracts and external partnerships.

Communications & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Communications to build and execute comprehensive communication strategy (internal and external) to improve associate engagement, build external employer brand and navigate responses to socio-political events.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact between the CPO and other executives, associates, and external partners.
- Leverage data and insights to maintain a pulse on culture and associate sentiment and ensure the CPO and CFPLT are aware of key themes.
Enterprise Project Management
- Lead and represent CF on cross-functional enterprise projects
- Own and manage ad hoc projects or urgent problem areas that require focused attention of the CPO (e.g., crisis response, benchmarking visits with peer CPOs).
- Conduct research, synthesize insights, and recommend solutions on emerging trends.
- Serve as an extension of the CPO in driving initiatives when direct involvement isn't possible.
Governance, Risk & Compliance Oversight
- Support the CPO in ensuring People policies and practices comply with relevant laws and internal standards.
- Partner with legal, finance, corporate affairs and audit teams to mitigate risk and ensure readiness for audits, reviews and external disclosure reporting.
What you'll bring…
- Seven to ten years of progressive experience in human resources, project management office, strategic planning or operations.
- Deep understanding of emerging technology and how it can accelerate organizational effectiveness
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional, enterprise-scale change and transformation efforts
- Strategic talent acumen as it relates to driving high performance, and identifying and accelerating associate growth
- A proven track record of successfully working as a business partner with a C-level management team, building trusting and effective relationships with leaders across the enterprise
- Experience managing and developing a team, implementing programs that attract and develop talent and organizational capabilities

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
