Job Description
Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:
- Handle the daily responsibilities of supporting the release/DevOps needs of development scrum teams.
- These tasks include configuration identification, change management, build, deploy and release artifact management, version control, and source code auditing/reporting, environment support and troubleshooting.
- Work with cross-functional teams providing assistance through the development and release cycle for any required code, Infra, and configuration.
- Support the build, deploy and release processes required to get any application certified into integration environments through testing cycle into production environments, including provisioning and setting a variety of infrastructures like VM and containers with firewall, load balancer and certificate management with a focus on Unix and Container technology.

Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related software engineer or DevOps occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related software engineer or DevOps occupation.
Position requires experience in the following skills:
- Java
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Ansible
- Python
- Shell scripts
Additional Information
Worksite: Austin, TX
Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $134,285.00 USD to $199,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
