The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer and Platform Solution Architect with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Python, C#, and Full Stack Development, with secondary expertise in ServiceNow platform development.
This hybrid role blends core software engineering excellence with ServiceNow platform development and integration, supporting Visa’s SaaS-driven, enterprise-scale technology landscape. The ideal candidate is a versatile technologist who enjoys working across multiple platforms, adapting to new tools and frameworks, and contributing to high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions in and around the ServiceNow ecosystem.
Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade SaaS applications using Python, C#, JavaScript, and modern full stack technologies
- Lead the architecture, design, and hands-on development of ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, GRC, and custom applications
- Develop, customize, and enhance ServiceNow applications, workflows, and platform capabilities across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, GRC, and custom applications
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions, collaborating with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders
- Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and supporting technologies
- Apply strong software engineering principles to ServiceNow development, ensuring upgrade-safe, maintainable, and performant solutions
- Perform code reviews, design reviews, and technical mentoring to ensure quality and adherence to platform and enterprise standards
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance by following platform best practices related to roles, ACLs, data access, and regulatory requirements
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and configuration guides
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases, SaaS platform innovations, and modern development practices, proactively recommending improvements
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, project planning, and cross-functional collaboration
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn and work on technologies beyond ServiceNow as business needs evolve

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
The Skills You Bring:
- 6 - 9years of professional software development experience (Strong coding experience in Python / C# is a must).
- Full-Stack Mindset: Strong proficiency in JavaScript with hands-on full-stack development experience, complemented by familiarity with Python, C#, or other modern programming languages.
- Architectural Depth: Good knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, security models, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Expertise: Strong experience in working on cloud-native, SaaS-based applications
- Strong proficiency: RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL Databases
- Certified Professional: Good to have ServiceNow CSA and CIS (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, etc.) required; CAD or CTA certifications are strong pluses.
- Platform Mastery: Deep hands-on expertise with JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, Integration, and MID Server configuration.
- Implementation Leader: Proven experience delivering end-to-end ServiceNow implementations, upgrades, and integrations with enterprise systems such as SAP, Workday, Oracle, and custom APIs.
- Requirements & Solutioning: Demonstrated ability to lead workshops, gather requirements, and architect scalable, robust ServiceNow solutions.
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to take on new challenges and develop practical, efficient solutions.
- Cross-Functional Communicator: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Agile Practitioner: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern project management practices.
- Business Savvy: Experience with client contract management and vendor coordination is a plus.
- Versatile Learner: Knowledge of additional scripting and programming languages or development frameworks, bringing added adaptability and value.
