We are the Rules team, the core engineering group responsible for building the future of autonomous financial controls. Our mission is to engineer the platform that empowers clients to create and enforce their own real-time spending rules. As the owners of the high-availability systems that manage balances and limits, we guarantee the integrity of every single authorization. What you'll do

  • Development and maintenance of projects in Golang using AWS services
  • Participation in technical analysis with product team requirements 
  • Execution of Terraform to create/remove new resources on AWS
  • Monitoring applications through logs/metrics using Grafana
  • Database optimization, mainly DynamoDB
  • Help in the collective decisions about our architecture
  • Understand and build micro-service and event-driven architecture, and how to solve distributed transaction problems.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote

Qualifications

For this role, you must be based in Brazil.

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in English at B1 level or above (Intermediate).

Technical Skills

  • At least 5 years of development experience.
  • Experience with AWS services (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge).
  • Knowledge of messaging systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience in designing architectural solutions.
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Experience with testing (unit, integration, load).
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
  • Knowledge of SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
  • Experience working in high-scale and high-availability environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of observability practices (monitoring, tracing, alerting).
  • Background in Agile methodologies and production support.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Postman
  • Grafana
  • OpenAPI/Swagger
  • Advanced experience with Microservices
