Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Bellevue, Washington to

• Work on emerging technologies, building distributed applications.
• Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven solutions.
• Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards.
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
• Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
• Partner with Product on implementation strategy.
• Position reports to the Bellevue, Washington office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer or software developer-related occupation.
• Position requires experience in the following:
  1. Java;
  2. React JS or Angular JS;
  3. Experience with Hadoop;
  4. Web service standards and related patterns like REST or JSON;
  5. Agile development incorporating TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, utilizing technologies like GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, JUnit, or Mock frameworks;
  6. Developing large scale, enterprise class distributed system or subsystems that require high availability, low-latency, & strong data consistency computing; and
  7. Implementing solutions for low-latency, distributed services using open standard technologies.

Additional Information

Worksite: Bellevue, Washington

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is $149,240.00 to $171,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
