Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Software Engineer (multiple openings) in Atlanta, Georgia to:

  • Responsible for application coding and development.
  • Provide technical design/architecture.
  • Interpret the design artifacts and provide feedback on designs. 
  • Provide production support, debugging and devops. 
  • Provide operational and test engineering teams with support activities, such as troubleshooting, defect research, code promotion, and configuration of software assets developed by the engineer.
  • Ensure functional code quality.
  • Develop software assets conforming to domain’s defined standards for interfaces, documentation as well as designing for extensibility and maintainability.
  • Develop unit level test cases in accordance with domain standards using provided tools.
  • Build unit testing code coverage to expected levels.
  • Provide code walk-throughs to code reviewers.
  • Incorporate agreed upon feedback into delivered software assets. 
  • Position reports to the Atlanta, GA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer – related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following skills:
    1. Java
    2. Mockito
    3. Troubleshooting Analysis
    4. Application Development & Designing
    5. Spring Boot
    6. Angular, HTML, and CSS 
    7. Automation of Unit Testing, and Veracode
    8. SOAP UI, and REST APIs
    9. Spring Data
    10. IBM Big Data
    11. CI-CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Git, and Bitbucket

Additional Information

Worksite: Atlanta, Georgia

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is $109,283.00 to $162,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
