Job Description
We are looking for a strategic, technically fluent, and platform-centric Senior Product Manager to define and build the foundational bedrock and core business capabilities of our Integrated Risk Platform (IRP). This is a core component of Visa’s mission to protect the global payments ecosystem through real-time fraud detection, risk scoring, and intelligent decisioning.
In this role, you will lead the strategy for Foundational Services alongside end-to-end Risk business capabilities, including Rules Management and Investigation (Case) Management. You will treat Infrastructure as a Product, ensuring a robust, scalable, and secure technical foundation, but you will look beyond just the infrastructure to define the holistic product experience.
You will be responsible for a unified platform that empowers clients to detect fraud (Rules/Decisioning), investigate threats (Case Management), and operate at scale (Foundation). By closely collaborating with Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Data Science teams, you will translate complex stakeholder needs into a paved road experience—delivering a solution that reduces fraud, enhances operational efficiency, and drives trust for Issuers, Acquirers, and Merchants.
What You’ll Build:
Platform Reliability You will define the paved road that accelerates time-to-market for all Risk products.
- Centralized CI/CD: One-click pipelines for building, testing, and deploying services to reduce lead time for changes to less than 24 hours.
- Common IRP SDK: A shared software development kit to standardize service creation, configuration, and integration.
- Automated Reliability: Implement auto-scaling, self-healing, and multi-region failover as native platform features.
- DORA Metrics Dashboard: Provide engineering leadership with real-time visibility into delivery performance and stability.
- Unified Observability & Health Provide a single pane of glass for real-time system health to achieve Tier-0 availability (99.999%).
- Centralized Logging & Tracing: A unified pipeline and query engine for all IRP services with end-to-end distributed tracing to pinpoint bottlenecks.
- Unified Metrics & Alerting: A standardized framework (e.g., Prometheus) to reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) from hours to minutes.
- Pervasive Security & Tenant Management Build a zero-trust security model and seamless onboarding directly into the platform fabric.
- Integration: Consistent way to integrate with different client/customer and easily to scale
- Intelligent Rule & Policy Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the engine of the platform, enabling risk strategists to stop fraud in real-time.
- Self-Service Strategy Management: A low-code/no-code environment for clients to author, test, and deploy complex fraud rules without engineering dependencies.
- Simulation & Replay: Capabilities to backtest new rules against historical data to predict impact before going live.
- Decision Orchestration: A flexible engine that combines rules, ML scores, and third-party data to render sub-second decisions.
- Advanced Case Management & Workflow: You will design the tools that power the human side of fraud investigation.
- Unified Analyst Workbench: A single interface for analysts to review flagged transactions, visualize linked entities, and make decisions.
- Automated Workflows: Configurable queues and routing logic to ensure the right high-priority cases get to the right investigators instantly.
- Feedback Loops: A seamless mechanism where analyst outcomes (e.g., Confirmed Fraud) automatically feed back into the system to retrain ML models and update lists.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define the long-term Platform-as-a-Product strategy for Visa’s Risk Infrastructure.
- Build a clear roadmap for risk platform

- Lead the development of horizontal services that support multiple vertical business lines.
- Write clear, well-structured Epics and Features that translate technical architecture into actionable engineering work.
- Champion InnerSource culture, reusable components, and modular architecture.
- Conduct continuous backlog grooming and release planning to ensure the platform remains healthy and scalable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Platform Engineering, SREs, Security Architects, and Data Scientists.
- Act as a service provider to internal customers (PMs for Rules, Case Management, and Identity), gathering their feedback to improve the platform.
- Communicate roadmap and technical progress to leadership, translating technical wins into business outcomes (e.g., improved time-to-market).
