Job Description

Are you ready to make a difference for our clients? Can you understand and address their strategic challenges? Are you creative enough to build compelling narratives using our Visa products to tackle these challenges? Do you have the ability to guide clients in developing their product propositions? Are you eager to deepen your knowledge of Visa Products and their applications?

If so, then you are the ideal candidate for our Senior Product Manager position in the German market. This role is an integral part of the Buyer and Seller Solutions team within the Central Europe Product team. A key focus will be on (Premium) Debit and Credit cards (Point-of-sale (POS), Mobile and ecommerce), driving their development and adoption in Germany.

The ideal candidate is able to advice different payment solutions for (premium) card offerings in the German market. In this role, you will offer expert advice to product managers, focusing on how Visa’s payment solutions can support in different use cases, mainly for affluent, in different channels (e.g., POS, Mobile). Your guidance will be instrumental in helping clients select optimal solutions, showcasing the unique capabilities and advantages of Visa's premium products and benefits.

Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the Go-to-Market Director for Germany to align on strategic initiatives in the premium area. Your partnership will be essential in driving cohesive market strategies and achieving business objectives. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy for Visa's Premium Debit and Credit products by utilizing client feedback and experiences.

Success in this role requires a flexible mindset and a focus on the German market, enabling you to work collaboratively across the entire payment ecosystem and engage with numerous internal stakeholders. Strong communication skills and adaptability are essential to navigate this dynamic environment and drive strategic outcomes effectively.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Have a passion for payments and products to bring new products to our client and being able to communicate and inspire product managers to build or adjust their card proposition using Visa Products and Solutions.
  • Experience in German in the payment ecosystem (issuing and/ or acquiring, merchant or gateway provider environment)
  • Preferable experience with the affluent target group and premium cards/benefits
  • Highly collaborative with bringing a structured problem-solving approach to client engagements.
  • Able to manage multiple client engagements next to each other with different product topics and respond with flexible mindset on incoming requests.
  • Ability to work together with different stakeholders.
  • Be willing and able to get hands-on in clients product strategy, assessing product propositions and user flows. Being able to tailor product information to the specific client situation for a wide client audience.
  • Able to combine aspects of the business and commercialization with product knowledge.
  • Have strong project management and analytical skillset.
  • Outstanding verbal-, written- and presentation skills.
  • German and English language fluency
