Job Description
The Director, O&I Program Management role manages teams of Project managers supporting Operations and Infrastructure (O&I) initiatives. This position is responsible for supporting highly complex programs across technology teams (including Product Development, Cybersecurity, and Client Services) to deliver highly available, reliable, and secure infrastructure. This will be mainly focused on internal infrastructure and platform delivery and will span the spectrum of strict hardware or software refreshes as well as platform and software development activities supporting internal facing applications.
Essential Skills:
- Manage a team of Project Managers overseeing projects across Visa’s Technology and Infrastructure, Operations Platform owners
- Foster a customer focused approach with the ability to multi-task and lead conflicting priorities with strategic goals in mind
- Demonstrated ability to deliver large tech refresh initiatives including Software (OS, DB, etc.) and Hardware platform upgrades across multiple environments, networks, and data centers
- Ability to scope initiatives quickly for planning and budgeting purposes using data to analyze and prioritize efforts amid competing priorities and external factors
- Partners with Solution Engineering, Delivery, and Build Teams to deliver hardware and software systems and platforms
- Responsible for handling and supervising program scope, schedule and budget while proactively mitigating risks that could impact turning points and work
- Comfortable leading discussions on initiatives, roadmaps, strategic objectives and the ability to transition from the high level to the details seamlessly
- Comfortable reviewing data, asking probing questions, and presenting to Executive Leadership

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- 12 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Technology Management or like area with a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters -MBA, JD, PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
- Demonstrated understanding of IT infrastructure principles, planning and project delivery at scale
- Experience with Agile frameworks including SCRUM, SAFe, and Lean
- Experience with MS Office Suite (high proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint), MS Project, Clarity, Jira, MS SharePoint, MS Teams
- ITIL v3 Certification a plus
- PMP or similar Program or Project Management certificate
- Direct experience implementing a company-wide program system experience re-platforming existing products
- Proficiency with gathering and analyzing data with follow-on visualization and communication
- Ability to influence development teams and senior stakeholders to gain support for delivering program solutions against a standardized methodology
- Experience with budget planning, cost-benefit analysis, and familiarity with IT Infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Network, Public Cloud, Cybersecurity Tools)

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 162,500.00 to 260,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
