Team Summary
Visa is expanding its Value-Added Services (VAS) team in Korea & Mongolia, growing its footprint in the region providing financial institutions, merchants and payment providers with the solutions needed to accelerate their business through state-of-the-art payment technology.
What a Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives does at Visa
- Define multi-year processing strategy for Korea and Mongolia aligned with regional and global objectives.
- Conduct market research and feasibility assessment for processing business in Korea and Mongolia.
- Evaluate dynamics among local processors, issuer/acquirers, payment gateways, and solution providers.
- Maintain deep knowledge of local payment landscape, technology trend, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive end-to-end project management and lead cross-functional collaboration with relevant teams.
- Provide strategic guidance to leadership on market entry, expansion, and risk posture.

Qualifications
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in payments, financial services, or technology sectors.
- Proven track record in strategy development, market analysis, and project management.
- Deep understanding of payment processing and its business economics and regulatory environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
What will also help:
- Experience working with payment processors, issuer/acquirers, or global schemes in Korea or Mongolia.
- Background in strategy consulting or advisory service focused on payments in Korea or Mongolia.
- Knowledge of payment technologies such as EMV, e/m-Commerce, tokenization, 3DS authentication.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English and Korean.
