Job Description
This role focuses on finding business development opportunities. The candidate will increase credential issuance, card acceptance, value added services and acquiring coverage in Chile by working with issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs and enablers. Responsibilities also include hunting for new business and identifying new enablers for the ecosystem. This position is based in Santiago, Chile.
Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities for Visa offering Visa products and solutions for current and new clients. Providing dynamic and proactive product/solution support and customer service.
- Business development of new digital players (Fintech, Enablers, Bin Sponsors, Processors, Crypto Programs, Digital Payfacs, VD Programs, Wallets). Ensure seamless client onboarding, with focus on client go to market and ramp up to projections.
- Analyze market data and interact with other market teams to identify new issuing and acceptance opportunities.
- Responsible for measuring and monitoring the results of the implemented activities.
- Identify the needs of acquirers and merchants to offer the appropriate Visa solutions available in the market, including CyberSource.
- Digital agenda implementation (Click to pay, Tokenization, Secure Credential Framework, Tap-to-Phone, among others).
- Develop alliances with key merchants to achieve brand preference including initiatives related to product, marketing and technology.
- Manage the budget assigned to ensure implementation of plans is done on a timely basis and within available resources.
- Understand the regulation that affects the industry.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics or engineering. MBA desirable.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in retail or payments industry preferable.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity to identify new opportunities/anticipate how can impact payments ecosystem.
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization.
- Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/ or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes.
- Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance including P&L responsibility.
- Sales and/or industry management experience.
- Excellent business planning and project management skills.
- Ability to:
- Work independently and engage multiple levels of management in key decisions where required for the business.
- Identify key strategic issues, generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.
- Multi-task. Manage numerous projects in parallel.
- Manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.
