Job Description
As a Senior Manager, Expense Management, you will be responsible for delivering on the strategic direction of the expense management portfolio for strategic banking partners, and for the day-to-day management of the sales team. You will drive commercial initiatives, execute key projects, host client and banker demonstrations and manage day to day partner engagement. Supporting to deliver performance to smash commercial targets, accelerate physical/virtual card adoption, and penetrate government/corporate/small and mid-market segments, by delivering exceptional client engagement, service, and sales execution.
Partnership & Commercial Management:
- Support the Director of Expense Management to set the strategic direction and manage key financial institutions partnerships at a product manager level to exceed revenue targets, grow card usage, expand into government and corporate sectors, and promote mobile wallet adoption.
- Drive partner sales growth by supporting new sales opportunities, overseeing the pipeline, ensuring operational and contractual delivery, accurate billing, and providing executive insights.

Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop the FlexiPurchase sales team, providing direction, support, and growth opportunities for high performance and business alignment.
- Support account management plans, goal setting, sales targets, forecasts, and strategies to ensure customer retention and achievement.
- Provide strategic support and direct engagement in high-value, complex sales opportunities and RFPs.
Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as key FlexiPurchase day to day product contact for banking partners supporting the FlexiPurchase strategic direction, building internal relationships, and managing executive expectations for growth and alignment.
- Act as escalation point for sales/contractual issues, advising on risks, costs/benefits, processes, and transaction management best practices.
- Collaborate with partners to develop case studies, market insights, and sales collateral.
- Host product demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops to drive adoption and usage.
Product & Solution Expertise:
- Maintain deep knowledge of Visa Spend Clarity and FlexiPurchase platform capabilities, applications, and associated data solutions.
- Develop expertise in Visa Business Solutions' product suite, and value-added services.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Skills and Competencies:
- Commercial and Financial Acumen: Strong financial rigour with the ability to leverage data, forecasting, pipeline management, revenue tracking, and portfolio analytics to identify growth opportunities, prioritise investments, and drive commercial outcomes.
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams by setting clear direction, aligning resources to strategic priorities, driving accountability, and optimising performance against growth and revenue targets.
- Consultative Selling and Executive Stakeholder Management: Expertise in identifying customer needs, uncovering new opportunities, upselling value-added solutions, building trusted executive relationships, and influencing decision-making to accelerate revenue growth and customer retention.
- Market, Product and Innovation Expertise: Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts, develop innovative customer solutions, and apply deep knowledge of payments, expense management, virtual cards, and commercial card ecosystems to create competitive advantage.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field; 10+ years in consultative B2B sales/business development in financial services, payments, or fintech.
- Extensive B2B partnership management experience in financial services or payments, ideally with banking/large corporate clients; AuNZ/Asia Pacific experience highly desirable.
- Ideally, experience in expense management, virtual cards, commercial cards or related B2B SaaS solutions.
- Proven consultative sales expertise in upselling, revenue growth, pipeline management, forecasting, and billing; demonstrated analytical skills using insights for strategy, sales planning, and account management.
Personal Attributes:
- High professionalism, self-motivation, and independence: coordinate cross-functional activities, secure buy-in, and escalate issues.
- Passion for digital payments and transformation, with knowledge of AuNZPI landscape and B2B trends.
