Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, eCommerce Strategy to join Visa Global eCommerce and Digital Identity Strategy team. This role will support the development and execution of Visa global eCommerce strategy, working closely with senior leaders to advance priority growth initiatives across authentication, payments, and adjacent identity‑enabled use cases.

 

The Senior Manager will play a critical role in shaping strategic analyses, leading discrete strategic initiatives, and translating strategy into execution, including product‑level strategies, priority market acceleration efforts, and cross‑functional programs with Product, Technology, and Regional teams. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, product, and programs, with exposure to senior stakeholders and meaningful influence on our eCommerce direction.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of our global eCommerce strategy, aligned with 2030 initiatives and business objectives.

  • Analyze and help size new drivers of eCommerce growth, including performance improvements, underpenetrated verticals, and new value propositions

  • Evaluate emerging trends, competitive threats, and partnership opportunities across eCommerce, digital payments, and adjacent sectors.

  • Support the definition and execution of product‑level strategies across the authentication and eCommerce portfolio (e.g., Passkeys), in partnership with Product and Technology teams.

  • Lead or support priority market acceleration and strategic initiatives with regional teams, closing learnings back into global strategy and product planning.

  • Break down complex eCommerce‑related business questions, develop fact‑based analyses, and support recommendations across a range of strategic and operational topics

  • Work closely with Regional Products, Partnerships, Platforms, and Commercial teams to influence roadmaps, drive alignment, and support adoption of strategic priorities

  • Help translate strategy into clear priorities, OKRs, metrics, and operating cadence for assigned initiatives or workstreams.

  • Develop clear and concise executive level communications

  • Influence senior global and regional stakeholders to drive alignment and decision‑making

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 8 years of work experience with a bachelor degree or at least 6 years of experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or at least 4 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications 10 years progressive experience in eCommerce, payments, financial services, or technology. Strong understanding of eCommerce industry dynamics, including platform ecosystems, digital payments, and merchant and issuer needs. Demonstrated success leading or supporting large scale, complex strategic programs across global and matrixed organizations. Strong product and business acumen Experience partnering with product and technology teams to deliver market-leading solutions. Highly analytical and data-driven Able to synthesize complex information and drive actionable insights. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing executive‑ready materials. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes without direct authority. Comfortable operating in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments. Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to take ownership and support collective success. Ability to operate effectively across functions and geographies to drive positive outcomes

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 169,100.00 to 270,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
