Job Description
What a Senior Director, VCA Implementation Services (VIS) Market Support Center does at Visa:
The Senior Director, VIS, will help architect the build-out and scaling of VIS capabilities across Portfolio Optimization (PO), Commercial & Money Movement Services (CMS), Acceptance Solutions, Technology Implementation, Risk, and other emerging areas. This leader will work with VIS teams across the region to deliver the best of Visa to clients, drive enablement and partnerships, and orchestrate all VIS capabilities to support client needs.
Core responsibilities of the role include:
- Strategic Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and scale VIS capabilities across Portfolio Optimization, CMS, Acceptance Solutions, Technology Implementation, Risk, and additional areas as needed. Identify emerging market needs and proactively shape the VIS offering to drive best-in-class Visa and client outcomes.
- Collaborate with VIS teams across Asia Pacific to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients.
- Co-create capabilities and solutions regionally, pilot and roll out across AP.
- Build relationships with counterparts in other regions to bring global best practices to Asia Pacific.
- Enablement & Partnerships
- Drive development of enablement frameworks and thought leadership that empower teams and clients. Cultivate strategic alliances with internal and external partners, leveraging Visa’s ecosystem to unlock new growth opportunities.
- Support sales conversations with clients, drive understanding of problem statements, and orchestrate all VIS capabilities to deliver solutions.
- Centers of Excellence (COEs)
- Architect, operationalize & commercialize regional Centers of Excellence (covering PO, tech, and other focus areas), driving scale, efficiency, and innovation in client delivery.
- Ensure synergies across sites (Singapore, Bangalore, others) to bring the best delivery capabilities to client engagements
- Operational Excellence
- Inspire, motivate and influence large, diverse teams (including direct reports, other stakeholders and contractors) to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients and establish a high-performing culture.
- Develop new service lines and business models, including optimal location strategy, pricing structures, shared service delivery models, and varying service levels.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with in-market and regional leadership, leveraging collaboration to identify new opportunities and support execution teams.
- Build strong credibility with internal stakeholders across VCA Consulting, Education, Data Science, market teams, and broader Visa teams (Product, Client Services, Value Added Services, Acceptance Solutions, Solution Design, etc.).

Growing and diversifying Visa’s revenue is central to Visa’s strategy. VCA plays a critical role in achieving this objective, and this role will be responsible for building the VIS business to support VCA’s growth in the coming years. The Senior Director will help define and scale new capabilities, drive operational excellence, and deliver best-in-class solutions to clients across Asia Pacific. This role is pivotal in strengthening Visa’s relationships, enabling rapid implementation of key priorities, and driving incremental revenue for both Visa and its clients.
Qualifications
What you will need:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or higher strongly preferred) in Business, Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in consulting, managed services, or analytics, including significant leadership roles in global or multi-region organizations. Track record of scaling new business lines and leading transformation in complex, matrixed environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams across multiple markets, including direct leadership of senior managers and matrixed teams. Proven ability to develop leaders and build high-performing, diverse organizations
- Demonstrated expertise in project delivery across at least two of the following domains: portfolio optimization, data science/analytics, technology implementation, or risk management.
- Executive presence with the ability to represent Visa at industry events, client executive briefings, and strategic partner engagements. Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally, and at building trusted advisor relationships with C-suite clients
- Deep understanding of payments, financial services, or related industries, experience with Visa or similar organizations is a plus.
- Proven ability to drive change, scale teams, and implement best practices across a matrixed, global organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for developing talent and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel as required to support clients and team members across the region.

- Experience in building a center of excellence or shared services team within a complex organization.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, digital transformation, and/or managed services operating models.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial drivers in a professional services environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset energized by the possibility of building new business capabilities.
