Job Description

The Senior Director, Marketing Insights & Analytics will be a key driver of actionable consumer and industry research, supporting both Visa’s North America marketing and Visa client marketing services. This leader will deliver insights and analytics that guide marketing leaders in the development of consumer, B2B, and client campaigns. The role is responsible for creative testing, campaign analysis, and performance measurement to ensure marketing efforts are optimized for engagement and outcomes. The Senior Director will partner closely with cross-functional teams and report directly to the SVP, CMO for North America.

Key Outcomes (First 12–18 Months)

  • Deliver integrated insights and analytics frameworks that inform marketing strategy, campaign development, and optimization across consumer, B2B, and client segments.
  • Institutionalize creative testing and measurement processes to maximize campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on campaign analysis, ensuring marketing investments drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and Visa clients to support joint marketing initiatives with robust insights and analytics.

Responsibilities

Insights & Analytics

  • Lead the development and execution of consumer, industry, and competitive research to inform marketing strategy and campaign planning.
  • Design and implement measurement frameworks for campaign effectiveness (reach, resonance, response, ROI) across channels and programs.
  • Oversee creative testing methodologies to identify and scale high-performing creative assets.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to marketing leaders and Visa clients.
  • Develop executive-ready reporting and storytelling to enable data-driven decision-making.

Client & Cross-Functional Support

  • Support Visa Marketing Services teams with insights and analytics to guide client campaign and media development and optimization.
  • Collaborate with NA marketing VPs across Consumer, B2B, and Marketing Services to ensure insights are integrated into broader marketing strategies.
  • Partner with global analytics, data science, and MarTech teams to leverage advanced tools and technologies for insights generation.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of insights and analytics professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion best practices in marketing analytics and creative testing across the organization.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 210,900.00 to 369,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
