Job Description
The Consumer Solutions group manages the deployment and optimization of Visa’s core products base consisting of Credit, Debit and Prepaid payments solutions as well as Engagement Solutions and the benefits platforms that function across all product categories – together, these are Visa’s core products. The team is also responsible for the development and deployment of innovation across this product suite. To do this, we work in close partnership with Visa clients and key internal and external stakeholders. We are also the team responsible for leading the transition of conventional card-based solutions on to digital form factors, ensuring Visa payments solutions remain the market-leading way for consumers to spend their money and manage their payments across the CEMEA (Central Europe Middle East and Africa) region
What the Senior Director, Head of Core Products does at Visa:
Reporting to the Head of Product Management and Platform Services, CEMEA, the Head of Core Product Management will be responsible for initiatives across 4 broad areas of responsibility:
Drive a strong data-driven approach towards management of our established Consumer Core products (i.e., Credit, Debit and Prepaid), including by not limited to tools , processes, rules and operating model Identify, develop and execute strategic product initiatives, including but not limited to driving expansion of Visa’s consumer credit portfolio (in line with the Visa 2030 strategy) to grow associated PV and revenue across CEMEA Markets Facilitate Visa’s thought leadership in the CEMEA payments industry through promulgation of Core Product best practices and market insights GTM of Visa’s platform products like Visa Flex Credential and Visa Installment Solutions across CEMEA Markets.
The role-holder will lead a team of direct line reports and works closely with Core Product market teams across CEMEA, responsible for evolving and building end-to-end consumer experiences that drive client preference for Visa as a strategic partner and make us an enabler of superior value propositions for digitally-enabled consumers.
The role-holder will be responsible for the identification, development, commercialization and launch of new ways to grow the consumer unsecured credit business in CEMEA, working closely with issuers and internal Global counterparts to expand “credit-card” issuance, as well as newer ways of efficiently facilitating the provision of unsecured credit, for example BNPL or other methods.
As part of this role, the Head of Core Product Core Products will also be responsible for facilitating the gathering, analysis and promulgation of best practices and recommendations for optimal Core Consumer Product performance both internally within Visa, and as a thought-leader externally, working closely with Visa Consulting & Analytics.
The role-holder will need to be highly collaborative and will be the key interface between the market teams and Visa’s global team to ensure our platforms drive product differentiation, consumer activation and engagement
As well as working with in-market, client-facing teams, the team will work closely with the Global counterparts, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Client Services, Finance, Pricing, Legal.

Core Consumer Products are the key basis for Visa’s business in CEMEA and encompass conventional card-based credit programs as well as newer digital solutions. Within Core Products, Consumer credit spans most life-stage and income segments in all Visa’s CEMEA markets from entry-level credit products through to solutions designed to meet the needs of Ultra-High Net Worth consumers and as such is a key platform for revenue generation and consumer engagement for Visa and our clients. As the largest solution set in CEMEA, Core Products offer Visa the most visible and impactful opportunity to drive digital payments enablement and thus is a key part of our digital migration strategy. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
15+ years of experience and at least 8 – 10 years of experience in the payments industry, preferably in product strategy, development, ideation and product management
Proven experience in product management, specifically with a track record of using data and analytics to drive insights
Established credentials in delivering product & business solutions and keen interest in payment technology & innovation
Strategic thought leadership coupled with execution bias to drive initiatives and meet key result areas
Understanding of network product, rules, technology and payment players will be advantageous
Understanding of the payments landscape in CEMEA preferred
Sound business acumen, analytical skills and keen understanding of new technology payment business models and profitability drivers
