Job Description
Team Summary
The Value-Added Services (VAS) team is fully accountable for the operating performance and growth of Visa’s solution strategy and sales business. VAS team partners with Visa’s Global/Regional Solution Leads (Acceptance Solutions, Issuing Solutions, Risk and Identity Solutions) and works closely with Cluster/Market Product and other business functions as required to successfully realize the growth of VAS adoption within the markets.
What a SD, Head of Value-Added Services, Korea and Mongolia, does at Visa:
VAS Commercialization & Strategy
- Drive the deployment of Issuing, Acceptance, Risk & Identity, and Data solutions to financial institutions, merchants, payfacs, fintechs, and other new client segments in the cluster.
- Own the end‑to‑end VAS sales pipeline and deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets for the cluster.
- Establish and accelerate a long-term, sustainable growth model of the cluster’s VAS business.
- Oversee all relevant commercial deals to ensure VAS is clearly positioned, structured, budgeted, and executed.
- Work with cluster/regional hub teams to ensure market requirements are understood and prioritized in solution delivery.
- Shape and execute Visa’s processing strategy for the cluster by driving cross-functional collaboration.
- Capture client feedback and stakeholder insights back into product and solution development.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead a team of Specialist Sellers and Processing Strategists to achieve financial targets and drive strategic initiatives through strong performance management and coaching.
- Deploy resources effectively across opportunities and ensure product and technology support through partnership with internal subject matter experts.
- Implement consistent sales excellence processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive adoption of best practices.
- Strengthen product and solution knowledge for sellers to clearly articulate capabilities to clients at required technical depth.
- Build strong partnership with Sales, Product, Client Services, Advisory, and other functions and ensure alignment with the VAS strategy and roadmap.
The SD, Head of VAS, KRM will report into the JKM (Japan, Korea, Mongolia) Cluster Head of VAS and the KRM Country Manager.

Qualifications
What you will need:
• 15+ years' experience working at a financial institution, fintech, or related payment technology organization, in a solution/value selling environment.
• Experience in driving sales for issuing, acquiring, merchant, or other payment solutions across the cluster.
• Sales leadership experience, leading teams through disruptive growth.
• Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives based on payment industry knowledge, insight, and financial acumen.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large, cross-functional (e.g. product, sales, strategy, marketing) and cross-regional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with client’s C-level executives to present Visa’s strategic vision and negotiate effectively on behalf of the company.
• Demonstrated ability to build sustainable, collaborative relationships with regulators, industry groups and governments.
• Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to stakeholders and to juggle multiple initiatives at once.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor addressing a wide variety of opportunities and threats.
• Ability to quickly assess an opportunity's potential, leveraging fact-based analyses and industry experience.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines.
• Experience of working in a global matrix organization with the ability to navigate complex structures and empower decision-making locally.
• Strong people leader with track record of building high performing teams.
