Team Overview: Intelligence and Data Solutions (IDS)
The Intelligence and Data Solutions (IDS) team is Visa’s engine for data-driven innovation and monetization in Asia Pacific. We commercialize Visa’s most advanced data capabilities—including AI-powered solutions—across verticals such as retail, travel, and media. As trusted partners to our clients and colleagues, we collaborate with global product teams, regional sales, legal, compliance, and leading external partners to bring transformative data solutions to market. Our mandate: deliver measurable impact, unlock new revenue streams, and position Visa as the partner of choice in data-led growth.
Role Summary
As Sales Director, Intelligence and Data Solutions (IDS), you will be responsible for owning the go-to-market strategy, driving pipeline growth, and delivering revenue from Visa’s suite of data and AI solutions across Southeast Asia. You will lead end-to-end sales cycles, cultivate C-level relationships, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to shape Visa’s leadership in data monetization. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales executive with deep expertise in data-driven solutions, a strong commercial acumen, and a passion for enabling clients’ digital transformation journeys. You will spearhead the commercialization of payments data across demand and supply side platforms, forging strategic partnerships with agencies, ad tech players, and external data providers to maximize audience monetisation and data-driven growth. Your expertise in structuring complex deals and integrating diverse data assets will be critical in delivering innovative solutions and unlocking new revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercialization of Data
Lead the commercialization of data on both demand side (DSPs, agencies, brands) and supply side (SSPs, publishers, exchanges) platforms, enabling targeted audience sales and data-driven campaign optimization.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for audience activation and monetisation, leveraging Visa’s data assets to drive adoption and revenue growth across the digital advertising ecosystem.
2. Agency and Ad Tech Partnerships
Build and manage high-value relationships with media and marketing agencies, trading desks, and ad tech partners to drive the sale of Visa’s audience segments and data products.
Negotiate and close complex deals with agencies and ad tech platforms, ensuring seamless integration and activation of Visa’s data for programmatic and direct campaigns.
Package and sell first-party audience segments through data marketplaces and platform integrations, maximizing reach and commercial impact.
3. Data Partnerships and Integration
Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships with external data providers to combine Visa’s payments data with third-party assets, creating differentiated and commercially valuable offerings.
Lead negotiations for data licensing and partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and maximizing commercial value for Visa and its partners.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and sales teams to integrate new data sources and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
3. Representation & Thought Leadership
Represent Visa at industry and client forums, positioning Visa as a leader in data and AI-driven commerce and building awareness of IDS capabilities.

What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 12 + years of enterprise sales experience in data commercialization, analytics, or SaaS-driven solutions, with a strong record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Demonstrated success in closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals and managing senior client relationships.
- Experience in or selling to marketing agencies, adtech/martech platforms, or other data-driven organizations in Southeast Asia.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with proven ability to influence senior executives.
- Experience working in matrixed, global organizations is a plus.
