Job Description
The Visa Payments Limited (VPL) Quality Assurance (QA) team conducts QA sampling on a plethora of VPL's compliance operational functions and its associated procedures. QA plays a pivotal role in providing oversight and assurance to senior VPL stakeholders in terms of how procedures are being utilized, developing and improving underlying procedures through regular sampling and supporting underlying procedure users in identifying development needs and or validating the quality of procedural adherence.
What a Specialist, Quality Assurance does at Visa:
- Undertake QA checks across multiple Compliance frameworks, providing feedback to Compliance Managers, workstream leads and the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance as to the effectiveness of the procedure reviewed.
- Maintain up to date on internal and external procedures associated with QA sampling, procedural changes and rationales.
- Propose remediation in instances where procedures have not been followed effectively.
- Assist in engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including other functions and departments
- Identify and internally escalate actual or suspected financial crime incidents, in addition to identifying any other risks to the business.
- Keep up to date with compliance legislation and regulation, in particular, relevant money laundering and payment service regulations.
Projects you will be a part of:
- Shaping and developing VPL operations through sampling reviewing cases against procedures.
- Contributing to and developing the VPL QA function.
- Cross training opportunities to learn additional QA workstreams for other acquired entities, VGSI and Visa Core.
- Act as a catalyst for change and an ambassador for improvement in performance and quality.

Qualifications
- Associate: 2 or more years of work experience
- What you will need:
- A minimum of 2+ years of operational experience in a Quality Assurance (QA) role within a regulated payment or financial institution entity
- Knowledge and understanding of payments, foreign and/or regulatory compliance
- Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
- Granular attention to detail, with a strong ability to think laterally, pragmatically and problem solve- Excellent self-starter, motivated individual who is also a strong team player
- Works well under pressure
- Skilled at assessing, analysing and presenting management information
- What will also help:
- A relevant graduate degree or equivalent professional qualification/s (ICA AML, Compliance and/or relevant compliance Diploma)
- Understanding of IT systems, operational and/or product development payment processes, especially in e-Commerce environments for retail and/or corporate payments
