Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives sectors.
VCA Implementation Services (VIS) extends Visa’s consulting capabilities by turning strategic recommendations into actionable solutions. We help clients implement these recommendations effectively, enabling them to scale their competitive advantage and thrive in the digital age
We are seeking a Product & Technical Consulting Project Manager to lead digital product and technology-focused projects for key clients in Central Europe. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in software/app development, product ownership, and technical project management within payments or financial services.
What we expected of you, day to day:
Working closely with both client and internal Visa stakeholders as well as , the Product & Technical Consulting Project Manager will have accountability for ensuring the delivered project outcomes are aligned against both the clients and Visa’s objectives across all aspects of delivery. This will include:
Product Ownership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital products and solutions, acting as Product Owner or similar for client-facing applications and platforms.
Technical Project Management: Manage cross-functional DevOps teams, oversee backlog and requirements engineering, and drive road mapping for new features and product enhancements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and third-party partners to elicit, analyse, and validate requirements for business process and technology changes.

Technical Leadership: Guide teams in architecture optimisation, system landscape improvements, and API integration for Visa and third-party products. Manage project resources and timelines across Visa, client, and third-party teams, ensuring clear visibility and progress reporting.
· Supplier Steering: Steer and oversee third-party suppliers, ensuring their deliverables align with project objectives, quality standards, and timelines while proactively managing risks and fostering productive partnerships.
Client Performance: Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance, drive growth, and provide strategic direction across verticals and segments.
Reporting & Communication: Deliver clear reports and presentations on project status, recommended approaches, and technical solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and product improvements, leveraging data analytics and market trends.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
What we’re after…
- Experience in digital product management, technical project management, or consulting within payments, financial services, or technology sectors.
- Proven track record as a Product Owner or Technical Lead for software/app Experience in payments, cards, or financial services is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, TDD, DevOps).
- Experience with requirements engineering, backlog management, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to steer third party supplier effectively.
- Technical proficiency in web development concepts (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL, API integration) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent in German and English (verbal and written).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, Product Owner) are a plus.
