Job Description
The Product Regulatory and Compliance team is seeking a seasoned Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager as we expand Pismo along with DPS as part of Value-Added Services with strong leadership and risk management experience. This individual will report directly to the Director globally for DPS Regulatory Compliance. The role requires independent assessment and addressing of regulatory risks in collaboration with product owners.
The successful candidate will closely collaborate with various teams including Product Management, Technology, Product Operations, Client Services, Governance, Regional and Global Compliance, along with the Privacy, Product, and Regulatory Legal teams. They are a subject matter expert on financial regulations and schemes in their assigned region of Europe, Asia, and Middle East training, consulting and advising key internal team and external clients.
As a product regulatory regional expert, the Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager will collaborate to assess regulatory risk and find compliant, automated, and user-friendly solutions. They will ensure DPS Products and Value-Added Services meet regulatory, security, and industry standards such as PCI, GDPR, PSD2, FATF, AML among many others. This role operates in a highly matrixed environment and requires deep integration with various Pismo and DPS products.
Principle Scope, Responsibilities and Key Results Areas:
- Accountable for the regulatory inventory, regulatory compliance products library for Pismo and DPS Products.
- Responsible for ensuring product compliance and accountable for collaborating with cross-functional teams (i.e., product, technology, legal, risk governance, etc.) to fully capture and understand how regulations affect the products.
- Monitor regulatory environments assisting your product teams in finding and understanding changes in regulations through new legislation, changes in guidance, interpretations, consent orders, examiners' manuals, and other sources.
- Working with Product on new and improved features and products research and identify regulations and review them for applicability working with product, legal, and others. Review through various processes like our NBIA and PRA processes.
- Lead the creation of training for regulations applying to products using Visa University, Legal, and key stakeholders.
- Assess as needed new products, vendors, and partnerships working to ensure regulatory excellence and adherence to Visa’s policies.
- Collaborating with other key team members supports Audit, Security and Compliance activities related to Pismo and DPS Products, and Value-Added Services within the scope of the applicable Visa policies.
- Ensure products and services are audited ready, guaranteeing either a blue or green rating, follow-up on corrective planning and actions.
- Perform regulatory assessments of the focus areas including review of processes and procedures, adherence by staff and make recommendations to improve internal controls and compliance
- Develops positive and initiative-taking approaches to regulatory compliance to ensure client satisfaction.
- Experience drafting process maps to assist with documentation of Pismo and DPS operational activities.
- Support preparation of internal and external audits and compliance in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Products and regional assignments may vary or change from time to time.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the payments industry (debit, credit, fintech, network processing, issuer processing, acquiring, banking and money movement)
- Current relevant experience in Product Regulatory.
- Demonstrate broad privacy and regulatory knowledge across common industry policy bodies.
- Ability to prioritize projects to meet timelines efficiently, adapt to changes in priorities quickly, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience in developing innovative, strong, compliant solutions.
- Capable of working independently while also being team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible.
Highly motivated team members who easily cultivate effective relationships with all levels of the organization, clients, and partners to carry out shared business priorities. - Ability to understand complex technical and business solutions and write detailed requirements.
- Superior written, oral and presentation skills and the ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on course of action.
- Impeccable managerial, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence internally and externally.
- Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and find new ways to approach common problems.
- Advanced skills in Jira, MS Word, Power Point, Visio, Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multilingual is strongly preferred in English and either Mandarin (Chinese), Arabic, or French.
- Professional certification focused on the payments, regulatory, or compliance preferred.
