Job Description

Job Summary:

This role sits within Marketing Services and focuses on developing and delivering client-facing marketing programs for issuers, merchants and partners.

They are responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans that help clients achieve their business objectives. The role combines strategic marketing advisory, client engagement, program execution, and performance optimization to deliver measurable business outcomes. The Senior Manager works closely with other functions to align the company's marketing strategy with its business goals.

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Develop programs that integrate both B2C and B2B approaches.
  • Lead and manage client engagements from opportunity identification and strategic planning through execution, measurement and optimization.
  • Provide comprehensive support to clients, ensuring seamless integration of strategy, implementation, and performance evaluation to drive sustainable business results.
  • Respond rapidly and flexibly to client needs and market changes, ensuring efficient project management and execution. Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Lead cross-functional projects, working closely with teams across the organization to deliver integrated marketing solutions and address complex challenges.
  • Adapt and implement global best practices to fit the unique needs of the Japanese market. Leverage Visa's worldwide expertise while ensuring strategies and campaigns are locally relevant and effective.
  • Interact closely with other marketing team members including but not limited to Asia Pacific marketing team members in Singapore to fully leverage the organization's assets and resources.
  • Work closely with advertising, media, digital, and promotion agencies to ensure the delivery and execution of projects. Develop and maintain positive agency relationships based on inspiration, respect, and shared passion.
  • Contribute to the reimagining of the organization's key sponsorship assets, working alongside partners and constantly seeking ways to improve the issuance and usage of products/services.
  • Support the development of data-driven marketing and client engagement strategies across digital, social, and emerging channels.
  • Oversee all administrative deliverables related to marketing services engagements and project management, ensuring full compliance with organizational policies and processes.
  • Serve as a brand & marketing steward, ensuring the brand is always presented in alignment with its vision and purpose.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness of marketing programs to identify areas for improvement.


Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, client services, partnerships, or related disciplines, with a track record of managing client-facing initiatives.
  • Demonstrate willingness to take responsibility and accountability for the successful completion of projects, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and a growth mindset, with the ability to adapt and continuously improve in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in and with multinational organizations with well-positioned local brands.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and creatively, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations and business outcomes.
  • Have a strong understanding of the marketing landscape and trends, including digital marketing, and be willing to stay updated.
  • Full professional proficiency in both English and Japanese.
