Job Description
Visa is seeking an experienced and passionate Marketing Manager with an exceptional ability to design marketing programs activating eCommerce as a strategic segment.
This marketer will explore and develop a deep understanding of the online shopping behavior, the most important user groups and usage occasions, and develop marketing plans to activate against them.
The goal is to activate the Visa brand and drive eCommerce transactions by influencing consumer perception and behaviors, leveraging Visa’s product, capabilities, brand advantages and partnerships. This enables one of Visa’s big bets to be a leader in the high-growth eCommerce space by providing the best experience for online payments.
As part of the CEMEA (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa) Brand & Digital team, this role offers a breadth of learning and possibilities and supports global and regional consumer marketing efforts. The candidate should be willing to challenge the status quo to ensure our brand is bold, relevant, and cuts through the noise in the world of content. The ideal candidate is strategic problem solver, a team player, and idea generator with a firm understanding of the eCommerce space and how to build a beloved brand in a social-first environment.

The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented, highly motivated and an inspirational marketer with the ability to mobilize resources (marketing team, agency partners, multi-functional peers, etc) as well as work with a wide array of markets at varying stages of development. The individual must have a “can do”, positive attitude, combining a solutions-orientated mind-set with a highly collaborative approach.
This role reports to the Consumer Marketing Direction CEMEA and will be based in our Dubai office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop eCommerce consumer marketing strategy for CEMEA, aligned with Visa’s revenue drivers and brand priorities
- Identify and prioritize eCommerce categories (e.g marketplaces, fashion, food delivery, travel, subscriptions etc.) based on consumer trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities for Visa
- Develop a deep understanding of online shopper behavior, key audiences, and eCommerce use cases relevant to Visa, and create activation plans for regional marketing teams
- Understand consumer barriers to making online payments and storing cards on file and leverage Visa’s product solutions, brand advantages and partnerships to drive behavioural shifts
- Build integrated consumer campaigns that drive Visa usage online and brand preference, leveraging digital, social, content, influencer, CRM, and merchant channels
- Partner with key eCommerce merchants and issuers to deliver co-marketing programs that strengthen Visa’s role in the online journey
- Leverage Visa's premier sponsorship properties (e.g., FIFA, Olympics) through engaging, digital-first marketing programs that win with consumers and clients in the eCommerce space
- Work closely with Merchant Sales & Acquiring, Product, Media, Data & Analytics, Sponsorship teams
- Support markets with toolkits, guidance, localized frameworks and best practices for rollout
- Define a measurement framework with campaign KPIs linked to brand and business outcomes. And translate insights into optimizations and future recommendations for continued improvement of effectiveness
- Drive a first party data collection agenda through the eCommerce strategy and programs
- Ensure alignment and visibility through structured communication, reviews, and reporting
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- A deep understanding and experience in Marketing, involving strategy, planning, and execution, including bringing new ideas and products to market
- Extensive experience in audience segmentation, development of tailored marketing programs and alignment across multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Digital fluency and eCommerce landscape understanding, preferably across a variety of CEMEA markets and relevant industries such as major e-retailers or eCommerce marketplace/apps, consumer goods, finance, or retail
- Strong strategic thinker and storyteller with a results orientation, and a solid financial and analytical acumen
- Excellent business English skills, written and spoken
- Ability to collaborate, influence and build relationships within a matrixed organization and with external partners
