Job Description

The Manager of Access Management, Cloud Strategy & Platform Observability supports the execution of Visa’s enterprise access governance roadmap. This role delivers access workflows, implements governance and access policies, coordinates enterprise access approvals, and ensures proper enforcement across cloud and on‑prem platforms. The manager partners closely with engineering, IAM, cybersecurity, and compliance teams to operationalize the access strategy defined by platform leadership.

Essential Functions:

Execution of Access Governance Roadmap:

  • Execute access management initiatives aligned to the strategy defined by the Director of Data Governance Platform.
  • Implement standardized entitlements, access workflows, and controls across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Operationalize governance policies, procedures, and standards across teams.

Delivery & Operations:

  • Own day‑to‑day delivery of Analytics cluster provisioning workflows, access request pipelines, and observability tooling.
  • Manage platform configurations, audit requirements, and access lifecycle processes.
  • Support integrations with cloud IAM tools and platform services.

Enterprise Access Approvals & Compliance Support:

  • Coordinate and manage cross‑organizational access approvals, ensuring adherence to policy.
  • Track compliance, audit findings, and issues related to access and entitlement controls.
  • Support remediation of access risks and enforce access standards.

Cross‑Functional Implementation:

  • Work closely with engineering, security, cloud, and compliance teams to execute changes and deploy access controls.
  • Provide operational support for access workflows, observability dashboards, and entitlement processes.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and successful adoption.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Minimum 5 years in access management, IAM operations, cloud security, or platform governance roles.
Working knowledge of IAM frameworks, entitlements, approval workflows, and policy enforcement.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) preferred.
Strong coordination and execution skills across engineering, security, and compliance teams.
Ability to operationalize governance standards and manage access workflows at scale.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,200.00 to 211,850.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
