As we expand across multiple client segments and use cases we are seeking a Director on Client Strategy team to lead the evolution of our client deals or RFPs and strategic projects that help drive growth.

The Global VD Client Strategy team is a catalyst for business rhythm rapidly mobilizing to lead high-priority time-sensitive initiatives that connect regional needs to product and network teams. Their mission is to deepen client engagement and drive operational excellence through strategic projects market expansion and relentless optimization and automation. By swiftly adopting AI tools the team is transforming productivity and positioning themselves as the organization’s one stop shop for innovative data-driven solutions and driving growth. This position is based in Foster City California with the flexibility to co-locate in our San Francisco office.
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Director to support our executive team in tracking ongoing tasks key projects and deliverables within the Visa Direct global team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional project management skills and the ability to orchestrate team engagement ensuring follow-up on important action items from Quarterly Business Reviews QBRs Monthly Business Reviews leadership team meetings and other critical forums. Knowledge of the payments industry and Visa Direct is a plus.
Core Responsibilities
Business Reviews
- Orchestrate teams provide structure transparency and follow up on important action items from QBRs leadership team meetings and other executive forums to ensure timely completion
- Prepare materials including reports presentations and other documents as needed to support executive decision-making
- Act as a liaison between the executive team and other stakeholders ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities
Project Management
- Track and manage key projects tasks and deliverables for the executive team with a focus on Visa Direct growth FY26 initiatives and FY30 aspirations
- Assist in the planning and execution of strategic initiatives and special projects Synthesize complex data to provide clear and actionable insights
- Coordinate and facilitate team engagement fostering collaboration and communication across cross-functional departments Integrate existing tools and processes to track and measure tangible performance metrics
AI Application
- Embrace AI develop and maintain tracking systems and dashboards to provide visibility into project status and key metrics
- Identify and expand AI use cases beyond word and excel RFP response explore powerpoint pitch executive summary Agentic AI for RFP project management and other process automation related opportunities
This is a hybrid position Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- 8-10 years business experience in Payments Corporate and Investment Banking Technology Consulting organizations
- Track record of project management product management building relationships across teams and key stakeholders to achieve business goals
- Excellent verbal and written skills Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business issues and solutions to a variety of stakeholders
- Must have a can-do attitude and will do what it takes in order to move a program forward
- Ability to handle multiple projects and synthesize data
- Must have strong presentation skills and be comfortable presenting material in front of executive-level audiences
- Ability to build credibility influence and negotiate at highest levels within core segment organizations
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and deliver under tight deadlines time frames
- Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 192,300.00 to 278,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
