Job Description
The Director - Card Risk Solutions, will drive our efforts to redefine the product strategy for Visa’s risk solutions aimed at helping financial institutions mitigate fraud. This role is accountable for defining strategic priorities, driving client engagement leading to commercial success, and advancing product development initiatives. The position requires close collaboration with clients, client services, and regional and global product teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise product strategy, a strong commercial acumen, and the ability to foster cross-functional alignment across product, technology, sales, and client-facing teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Market analysis & segmentation: Define a strategic segmentation of our clients based on their risk management needs, market trends and regulatory considerations in collaboration with the regional solutions and risk teams. Map existing products to the needs of these segments. Identify gaps towards having a compelling value proposition for each of these segments.
- Product leadership: Build business cases targeted at addressing identified product gaps in collaboration with different product and data science teams. Design pilots and proof-of-concepts to validate client demand and technical feasibility.
- Unified client experience: Lead efforts to provide our clients a unified experience across all current and new products in partnership with product, legal, pricing and client services teams.
- Marketing and positioning: Partner with regional teams and marketing to craft compelling value propositions tailored to diverse client segments. Drive engagement through targeted marketing campaigns and compelling solution-based narratives.
- Business excellence: Lead efforts to drive change through redefined management, operational and financial processes in partnership with the BIRS PMO organization.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in product management, strategy, or solution development within financial services or payments.
- Deep experience in product strategy. Familiarity with fraud management and payments is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in go-to-market strategy and commercial modeling.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize market, regulatory, and client insights.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging clients, partners, and senior leadership.
- Experience in driving cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders, including technology, data science, legal, marketing, and compliance teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver results, and adapt to evolving business needs.
- MBA and 12+ years of experience in financial services and consulting required.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 207,500.00 to 332,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
