Client Services provides industry-leading operational support to Visa’s clients around the world. With our deep knowledge and expertise, we bring the voice of the customer into the design, development and successful deployment of Visa products and services. What a Consultant, Implementation Services does at Visa:
The Implementation & Client Success team is a dynamic group within Visa’s Client Services organization, responsible for delivering high-quality technical program management, implementation services, and operational support to Visa clients. This role based in Mongolia combines the responsibilities of an Implementation Manager and a Client Success Manager, ensuring seamless onboarding, integration, and ongoing operational excellence for clients in Mongolia.
You will lead client implementation projects, provide consultative guidance on Visa products and services, and act as the primary operational and technical liaison for clients. This role requires strong project management skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
In this role, you are expected to:
- Lead and execute high-quality implementation project management support to Visa clients and processors to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, risk/mitigation plans, status reports, and issues logs to enhance internal and external communications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operational and technical support for clients in Mongolia, acting as an expert to both clients and internal teams to ensure successful cross-functional and in-country initiative delivery.
- Proactively identify and drive opportunities to optimize client performance by monitoring client health and liaising with specialist Visa teams as needed.
- Execute plans to promote Visa products and ensure client adoption of mandated changes, while closely monitoring progress against defined targets and objectives.
- Be accountable for delivering agreed objectives, managing competing priorities while serving as a positive influence across the organization.
- Confidently managing clients in parallel to product developments and a changing landscape.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely, while staying current with industry and client trends and maintaining strong knowledge of Visa products and VisaNet services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address market or client-specific needs, support digital product initiatives, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Represent client system and operational requirements to internal Visa organizations, negotiating and managing expectations internally and externally.
- Assist in incident management, communicating incident status to clients through resolution.
- Be an active contributor in creating a high-performing, supportive, and inclusive team culture.
- Build and enhance positive working relationships with client technical, operational, and management staff, as well as internal stakeholders.
- Assume appropriate decision-making authorities to ensure flawless execution of project objectives.
- Good analytical skills, not just for problem analysis, but to use technical acumen for reviewing appropriateness of technical or project documents and in integrating systems solutions.

Projects you will be a part of:
You will lead client implementation projects that serve as the gateway to new business and increased revenue for Visa, while also driving operational excellence to help our clients achieve their business objectives. These projects will include the end-to-end delivery of new Visa products and services, onboarding of new clients including Fintech partners, and facilitating token-based product implementations in collaboration with cross-functional country teams and Client Services hub delivery teams. You will work on complex processing modifications and system enhancements, representing client requirements internally and ensuring timely and error-free execution. In addition, you will support cross-border and in-country strategic initiatives aimed at improving service quality, revenue, and efficiency for clients, while managing incident resolution and proactively identifying opportunities for operational improvements. Your role will also involve contributing to market-specific and regulatory-driven projects, ensuring compliance and delivering innovative solutions tailored to client needs.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
What you will need:
We are looking for an individual who brings breadth of experience, a curiosity about payments, is results-driven and client focused. As a candidate, you should have:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in client-facing roles such as project management, client support, or technical consulting, ideally in payments or financial services.
• Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of digital payments, web-based technologies (HTML, APIs, JSON), and Visa systems (authorization, clearing, settlement).
• Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in business language.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English and Mongolian language.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Local market and regulatory knowledge with functional experience in payment operations, preferably Visa, supporting complex clients, along with working knowledge of Visa systems (authorization, clearing, connectivity, settlement).
