Job Description

As an Associate Test Engineer in our Engineering team (Operations & Infrastructure), you will play a key role in supporting infrastructure testing with a strong focus on automation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You’ll collaborate closely with developers to ensure new tools and technologies are testable and automation is practical and effective. Your work will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of Visa’s infrastructure solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) changes and ensure robust test coverage.
  • Build and maintain regression test frameworks for infrastructure components.
  • Design and execute performance test strategies for new and existing systems.
  • Develop and implement automated test cases to support change management and continuous integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify technical requirements and prioritize testing efforts.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. 

Qualifications

Education & Core Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for automation testing and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, reporting, and organizational skills
  • Effective communicator, able to work with cross-functional development teams
  • Ability to clarify technical requirements and prioritize effectively


Technical Experience

  • 2+ years in development, testing, or technology roles
  • Proven experience in API automation
  • Experience with transactional systems (e.g., banking, finance, telecom)
  • Exposure to non-functional testing (e.g., performance, reliability)


Desirable Technologies

  • Experience with AWS infrastructure testing
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (AWS CDK, Terraform)
  • Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, SpecFlow, or other Gherkin-based frameworks
  • Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, or scripting languages
  • Experience with SQL, XML, XSL, HTML
  • REST API testing (Postman or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (e.g., TeamCity)
