Job Description
What a Designer does at Visa:
- Contribute to AP Marketing Services revenue growth by effectively delivering client projects.
- Partner with different local marketing teams to understand campaign goals, audience insights, and the strategic context behind each brief.
- Interpret client objectives to shape original and iconic creative concepts that align with Visa’s and clients’ brand strategies.
- Ensure all design approaches remain grounded in brand guidelines and broader strategic direction from Global
- Develop visually compelling design solutions across a wide range of formats, including web, graphics, social and digital media content, print, environmental, OOH, BTL, and packaging.
- Bring concepts to life through storyboarding, animation, video editing, mock‑ups, and converting layouts into HTML as needed.
- Maintain consistency and high quality across all design elements, ensuring alignment with established brand systems.
- Communicate and present design concepts confidently to internal and external stakeholders, clearly articulating creative rationale and business relevance.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to refine work, integrate feedback, and elevate final outputs.
- Support the team in scaling and executing campaigns efficiently, ensuring craft excellence and attention to detail throughout all stages.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, guiding work from concept to completion and ensuring key milestones are met.
- Prepare, organize, and package final artwork assets with accuracy, ensuring all production requirements and technical specifications are fulfilled.

Why this is important to Visa
The Studio (part of the Visa AP Marketing organization) is responsible for delivering creative services and solutions for internal and Visa’s clients and driving a key marketing service workstream for revenue growth. The team is in its early stages of expansion and the role will be integral in its formation to scale up.
What you will need:
- You bring a well-rounded approach to design, effectively balancing strategic thinking with executional excellence. Your skillset enables you to carry projects from the initial idea stage through to final delivery, with a focus of approximately 40% on strategic thinking and 60% on hands-on execution. Having the ability to skillfully turn briefs into concept that are both strategic and creative.
- Comfortable navigating complex and ambiguous situations and excel at collaborating effectively within fast-paced environments. The ability to adapt quickly and work alongside others ensures you remain productive and engaged across different projects. Be solutions-oriented, and able to work independently and demonstrate strong collaboration skills with team members and cross functional teams. You show openness to giving and receiving constructive feedback, helping foster a positive and productive team dynamic.
- As this is both an internal and client‑facing role, you will need to demonstrate deep brand expertise and the capability to engage external clients and partners at a consultancy level.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a creative capacity of an Art Director/designer in an advertising /design agency or in-house creative team, preferably with a global network.
- Degree in Advertising, Design, Multimedia, or any related field of study.
- Proven experience as a designer in an agency set-up or similar creative role.
- Good understanding of different social, media channels and new technologies.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy and its implementation through design.
- Excellent visual design skills and understanding of the customer journey.
- Capability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
- Proactive, organized and systematic with effective time management skills. Comfortable working in a fluid, fast-paced and hands-on environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and relationship-building skills.
- Expert knowledge in design programs across various media (print, motion, video, digital) including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere.
- Knowledge in generative AI tools is ideal.
