Job Description

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. B2B Acceptance and working capital solutions are critical enablers of commercial payments. This role is an integral part of the Visa Commercial Solutions B2B Acceptance organization.

This role sits within the B2B Acceptance organization (Working Capital Solutions team) and focuses on driving commercial payment volume by scaling supplier acceptance through acquirer partnerships in [Region/Country].

The Acquirer Engagement Director will work closely with acquirers to position Visa solutions as the preferred mechanism for enabling B2B payments and improving working capital outcomes across buyer-supplier ecosystems.

Key responsibilities include:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Drive growth in commercial payment volume by partnering with acquirers to expand B2B Acceptance
  • Sell and position Visa commercial solutions, platforms, and partner capabilities into acquirer-led pipelines
  • Support the development of supplier acceptance opportunities, leveraging acquirers as the primary route to market

Building and Managing Relationships:
  • Build and manage relationships with priority acquirers and payment partners in [Region/Country]
  • Develop strong engagement with decision-makers across product, sales, and strategy teams within acquirers
  • Act as a trusted partner to help acquirers grow their B2B Acceptance business

Identifying and Expanding Opportunities:
  • Identify B2B Acceptance opportunities across acquirer merchant portfolios, verticals, and supplier segments
  • Partner with acquirers to expand commercial volume through supplier activation, new use cases, and GTM initiatives
  • Develop and execute strategies to advance opportunities and scale acceptance

Consultative Approach:
  • Engage acquirers in a consultative manner to understand their portfolios, merchant base, and B2B opportunity
  • Help acquirers articulate and deliver a working capital value proposition to suppliers (e.g., cash flow, collections, efficiency)
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to tailor solutions to local market conditions

Analytics and Deal-Modeling:
  • Driving deep analytics and deal-modeling, partnering closely with regional account executives, business development teams, pricing, and other functions.
  • Leadership and Contribution:
  • Contributing active leadership to the broader B2B Acceptance team and VCS organization.

Enablement and Go-to-Market Support:
  • Enable acquirer sales teams with tools, narratives, and training to drive supplier acceptance conversations
  • Support development of joint go-to-market plans, campaigns, and pipeline development
  • Provide guidance on how to position Visa's solutions effectively in merchant conversations


Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD)
  • Strong sales and business development experience with ability to identify opportunities and drive growth through partnerships
  • Experience building and managing relationships with stakeholders across large organizations, especially in the payments ecosystem
  • Experience in commercial payments, acquiring, or B2B merchant environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving experience with a challenger mindset
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, oral, and presentation)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience working with acquirers, PSPs, or fintech platforms
  • Familiarity with B2B Acceptance, supplier enablement, or working capital solutions
  • Client management experience, especially in a consulting environment.
