Job Description

The Technical Product Manager ensures technology investment achieves value by defining, aligning and communicating strategies, outcomes and priorities for a technical product or group of products. The TPM works alongside a Delivery Manager and a Technical Lead to lead a product delivery team with responsibility for multiple technologies supporting the Vanguard UK Personal Investor business area.

Responsibilities:

1. Leads technical product management activities for multiple technical products, or one strategic technical product. Participates in the design and continuous improvement of the technical solution.

2. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create best practices that drive significant change to the client experience.

3. Coaches technical product teams towards best practices and learnings. Ensures delivery of messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary.

4. Partners with stakeholders to resolve production and implementation issues in a timely manner, and supports/drives escalations where required to enable rapid delivery.

5. Leads the planning, development and implementation of new technical products. Defines and analyzes technical markets, developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans.

6. Employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.

7. Participates in and provides recommendations for ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.

8. Participates in the team's engineering practices in development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.

9. May manage the work of Associate Product Managers.

10. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred. Proven related work experience.

Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred.

Special factors:

This position is hybrid and will require you to work in office Tuesday-Thursday.
