Sr. Relationship Manager - Personalized Indexing
Position Summary
The Senior Relationship Manager serves as a key client-facing representative for a personalized indexing platform, partnering with financial advisors, client service teams, portfolio management professionals, and other stakeholders to support business growth and client success. This role combines relationship management expertise with investment acumen, helping advisors understand and implement personalized indexing and separately managed account solutions.
The successful candidate will build trusted relationships with advisor organizations, deliver investment-related presentations, communicate complex concepts clearly, and collaborate across teams to enhance the client experience. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, investment knowledge, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to operate independently while driving results in a fast-paced environment. This individual will serve as both a relationship partner and a subject matter resource, helping clients maximize the value of personalized investment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial advisors and advisor organizations to support business growth and client satisfaction.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for client and advisor communications related to personalized investment solutions.
- Present investment strategies, portfolio concepts, and personalized indexing capabilities to advisors, prospective clients, and small-group audiences.
- Partner with client service, portfolio management, training, and business development teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
- Translate complex investment concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Provide expertise related to separately managed accounts (SMAs), portfolio construction, investment management, and personalized indexing solutions.
- Conduct portfolio analysis, performance attribution, and risk-related discussions using investment analytics tools and frameworks.
- Support advisor education efforts by helping stakeholders understand personalized indexing solutions and portfolio outcomes.
- Contribute to strategic client initiatives, projects, and business development activities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve client engagement and strengthen advisor relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- Obtained or ability to obtain FINRA Series 7 license.
- Experience working directly with financial advisors, advisory firms, institutional clients, or investment-related stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present investment concepts to senior-level audiences.
- Experience with separately managed accounts (SMAs), portfolio management, investment management, wealth management, or related investment solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with direct indexing or personalized indexing solutions.
- Experience using MSCI Barra risk models.
- Experience using FactSet analytics or risk modeling tools.
- CFA designation or progress toward CFA certification.
- Experience supporting advisor-facing investment products or platforms.
- Experience delivering client presentations, advisor education programs, or investment workshops.
- Familiarity with portfolio attribution and risk reporting methodologies.
