Social Media Art Director

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborates across teams to understand business objectives, audience needs, and content opportunities. Develops and presents social-first creative concepts and campaign ideas that support communications and marketing goals.
• Creates and pitches innovative creative concepts, articulating strategic rationale and relevance to stakeholders, business partners, and leadership.
• Provides art direction and creative guidance throughout the content development process, ensuring high-quality execution across static, motion, and emerging social formats.
• Demonstrates versatility across both static and motion design for social content.
• Operates comfortably within a strict regulatory and compliance environment while creating engaging and attention-grabbing work.
• Maintains brand standards and visual consistency across social channels while identifying opportunities to evolve creative approaches within established guidelines.
• Collaborates with designers, copywriters, strategists, video producers, and external partners to deliver integrated campaigns and content experiences.
• Engages with business units and leaders to understand communication objectives, provide creative recommendations, and ensure final deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
• Stays current on social media trends, platform innovations, and creative best practices, proactively bringing new ideas and formats to the team.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Five years of related experience in social media, art direction, advertising, creative marketing, or digital content development.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating social-first campaign concepting, art direction, static design, and motion design across multiple platforms.

• Proven experience developing and pitching creative concepts to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Strong understanding of social media platforms, audience behavior, content formats, and emerging trends.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or related field preferred.
