Senior Application Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Provides advanced level system analysis, configuration, testing, and implementation of SimCorp Dimension capabilities under general direction. Serves as a subject matter expert for platform setup, workflow configuration, and solution delivery.
  • Translates business, operational, and technical requirements into SimCorp Dimension configuration solutions, including documented setup decisions, dependencies, configured windows, workflow designs, and related controls.
  • Participates in user acceptance testing, platform release validation, and implementation activities to ensure configuration changes are accurate, controlled, and production ready.
  • Maintains configuration documentation, operational procedures, and supporting artifacts to ensure transparency, repeatability, and effective operational support.
  • Develops an understanding of internal IT systems, applications, interfaces, and operational workflows, and integrates SimCorp Dimension capabilities with AWS and the existing technology ecosystem to support business processes, data management, data migration, and platform stability.
  • Interfaces with cross-functional team members and communicate system design, support issues, release considerations, and operational impacts at the appropriate level for each audience.
  • Trains and mentors team members on SimCorp Dimension workflows, configuration standards, and platform best practices, and supports knowledge transfer across technology, product, and business teams.
  • Champions platform best practices, adoption, and continuous improvement, and participates in special projects.
  • Develops and maintains a working relationship with SimCorp and builds broader partner relationships to support issue resolution, product understanding, and effective collaboration on platform capabilities and enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least two years of development experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Hands-on experience configuring SimCorp Dimension to support business workflows, operational processing, and platform releases.
  • Middle office (i.e. trade management, trade processing, investment book of record, reconciliation, cash management, collateral management), experience strongly recommended, with experience in various Dimension packages.
  • Experience working with AWS services and cloud integration patterns in support of enterprise applications and data flows.
  • Experience documenting configuration decisions, dependencies, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Experience supporting testing, release validation, issue triage, performance testing, and cross-functional collaboration within production support or implementation environments.
  • Proven experience adopting new technologies and successfully integrating platform capabilities into enterprise ecosystems.
  • Experience training team members and supporting knowledge transfer on system processes and best practices.
