Platform Engineer, Specialist

In this Role you will:

• Design and imple men t Google Cloud and Gem ini solutions that meet business require men t s.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance to ensure uptime, reliability, and SLA compliance.

• Propose solution architectures and manage the deploy men t of cloud networking solutions according to customer require men t s and imple men t ation best practices.

• Is a key participant in new feature develop men t from an imple men t ation perspective, working closely with leadership and occasionally product and engineering teams .

• Acts as an escalation point for Google Cloud and Gem ini imple men t ation-related issues .

• Provide expert level Tier 3 technical infrastructure support services for issues elevated from other support and technical service organizations.

• Contribute to docu men t ation, automation scripts, and internal knowledge sharing to support continuous improve men t .

• Participate in special projects and performs other related duties as assigned.

What it Takes:

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience

• 5 + years of cloud engineering experience, including at least 2 years working in GCP environ men t s building .

• Strong hands-on expertise with Gem ini, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery .

• Experience building infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, or Deploy men t Manager.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.

• Solid understanding of Linux administration, networking, an d containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Strong troubleshooting skills in cloud infrastructure, networking, security best practices, and performance optimization

• Experience supporting Agile/Scrum develop men t environ men t s.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills .

• Excellent written and oral communication skills .

Specializations that'll have an impact:

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer cer t ification.

• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or Go.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple problems simultaneously.

• Experience leading and men t o ring staff, technical support organizations.

• Experience with production readiness review process.
