Investment Product Analyst

Our Team & Opportunity

At Vanguard the Investment Product team partners closely with teams such as investment management, marketing and sales to assess and manage product enhancements, take new products to market and engage with our investors and their advisers. The team ensure the product range are fit for purpose.

In this role you will gain exposure to a wide range of investment products and strategies, develop investment acumen across equity, fixed income and multi-asset solutions. In the role of Investment Product Analyst you will work with an experienced team to support the Vanguard product line-up and assist in analysing and assessing the product offer. You will help to ensure our products are understood and well-regarded in the market by answering client queries, participating in product rating reviews, and supporting product positioning in the market.

Core Responsibilities

• Supports the creation of dynamic content used to position Vanguard's investment products.
• Develops broad knowledge and awareness of the investment industry, competition, and Vanguard's fund line-up.
• Managing the Investment Product query database, by assigning and keeping track of queries. Utilise your knowledge and skills and team resources to respond to fund, adviser and market questions across our range of products.
• Develops and maintains product-based competitor research, analysis, and monitoring that supports better business understanding of competitors' product offerings, drives positioning of Vanguards' product, and supports sales teams.
• Contribute to due diligence questionnaires and ad-hoc requests from third parties, including Research Houses, Consultants and advisers. This includes assisting in the preparation for product review meetings.
• Assist in the assessment of the health of Vanguard's product line-up, including competitor, client and market analyses.
• Assists with the creation of thought leadership commentary.
• Develops investment/fund analysis and presentation skills.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, team player with a keen interest in investment markets and investment solutions.

• Three to five years investment firm related work experience.
• Degree with relevance to investment product management. CFA, CIMA, and relevant post-graduate qualifications desirable.
