Investment Consultant, Senior Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the senior investment strategist and client facing expert, ensuring Vanguard's investment products are appropriately positioned within the DC marketplace. This includes guidance on plan lineups, product due diligence, multi asset product strategy, and fund selection decisions.

2. Communicate investment strategies to clients and consultants to help them achieve their goals. Act as an external industry expert and provide investment support and guidance to relationship management and sales teams.

3. Facilitate internal training on new product launches and changes to existing offerings. Ensure message consistency across the division and share Voice of Client feedback with senior leaders.

4. Collaborate with internal partners to develop and deliver targeted client strategies, ensure a cohesive client experience, and maximize adoption and effective use of Vanguard services. Participate in the business development process.

5. Act as the aligned investment relationship manager, where appropriate, supporting priority clients with value add investment consultation and developing strong relationships with key investment decision makers.

6. Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert on investment and client industries, market conditions, competitors, and compliance, regulatory, and departmental policies. Contribute to Vanguard's external publications and present at conferences and client events.

7. Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to crew members.

8. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Eight years related work experience, including five years in client-facing expert role.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree a plus.
• CFA or CFP preferred.
• This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA). Series 7 and 63 required. These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
• Knowledge of Defined Contribution is a plus.
