Our Team & Opportunity

The APAC Marketing Technology ( MarTech ) team is responsible for :

• Driving engineering excellence across Adobe, SFMC, AWS Experience technologies, and Public Websites.

• Partnering with IT, Marketing, and senior stakeholders across Vanguard Global teams to deliver strategic outcomes.

• Advancing Vanguard's mission by enabling Marketing through secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions.

We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to build and maintain resilient, loosely coupled integrations across a distributed MarTech and Public Web ecosystem.

This role is hands - on and delivery - focused, with an emphasis on TypeScript / Node.js development, automated testing, and learning how to build and support secure, reliable integrations in a modern, cloud - based environment. You will work closely with senior engineers, tech leads, and architects while building practical experience across APIs, event - driven integrations, and cloud services, gradually taking on increasing responsibility as your capability grows.

You'll work closely with engineers, architects, and platform teams across Marketing Technology, Public Web, Data, and Core Systems to define clear, versioned contracts and deliver event driven , asynchronous integrations.

What You Will Do

Engineering & Integration Development

• Develop and enhance system integrations using TypeScript / Node.js under guidance from senior engineers.

• Contribute to integrations using REST APIs and event - driven patterns, following established standards and designs.

• Implement changes safely by following contract - first principles and versioned interfaces.

• Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to team coding and security standards.

Testing & Quality

• Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests as part of day - to - day development.

• Contribute to automated test suites, embedded within CI/CD pipelines.

• Learn and apply consumer - driven contract testing approaches where applicable.

• Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and consistency.

Security & Reliability

• Apply secure coding practices in development, including safe handling of data, dependencies, and credentials.

• Support the reliability of integrations by implementing appropriate error handling and logging.

• Assist in investigating and debugging issues in distributed systems, including production incidents, with support from senior team members.

Collaboration & Learning

• Work closely with other engineers, platform teams, and delivery partners to understand integration requirements.

• Learn established integration patterns, AWS services, and MarTech platforms used across the organisation.

• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Actively seek feedback and coaching to grow technical and professional capability.

What We Are Looking For :

Core Technical Skills :

TypeScript/Node.js: Hands - on experience building production applications using TypeScript and Node.js.

Testing: Practical experience with unit testing and integration testing.

Secure Coding: Awareness of secure coding practices and how to apply them in development.

Debugging: Ability to investigate and debug issues, including in multi - service or distributed systems.

Approximately 3 -5 years of industry experience in a software engineering role.

Good - to - Have Experience

• Exposure to AWS serverless services, such as: Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge , DynamoDB

• Familiarity with front  end frameworks: Angular, React, or Next.js

• Familiarity with Nest.js

• Experience contributing to end  to  end / automation testing

• B asic familiarity with GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud monitoring tools.

• Exposure to MarTech platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Experience Platform, or SFMC.
