Full Stack Software Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support secure, scalable full-stack applications using React, TypeScript or JavaScript, Java, REST APIs, microservices, and relational databases.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into maintainable application designs, reusable components, and production-ready code.
  • Develop and integrate APIs, identity services, third-party products, and other enterprise solutions, applying effective authentication, error-handling, monitoring, and resiliency practices.
  • Contribute directly to coding, debugging, automated testing, code reviews, and technical problem-solving across the application stack.
  • Use Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code-quality tools, and secure coding practices to deliver software across development, test, and production environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues through monitoring, debugging, and root cause analysis, while improving application performance, reliability, and supportability.
  • Participate in solution design and technical decision-making, ensuring applications meet architecture, security, quality, accessibility, and maintainability standards.
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, security, engineering, and business partners to deliver solutions and communicate technical decisions, risks, and dependencies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship while remaining actively involved in hands-on development and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, including significant hands-on application development experience supporting complex enterprise applications.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Hands-on experience building modern web applications using React and TypeScript or JavaScript , including component development, state management, API integration, and testing.
  • Back-end development experience using Java or a comparable object-oriented programming language .
  • Experience implementing REST APIs or microservices integrations , including authentication, error handling, testing, monitoring, and resiliency.
  • Experience developing or supporting applications in AWS or another enterprise cloud environment .
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code-quality tools, secure coding practices, and deployment processes .
  • Experience supporting production applications, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident resolution, and improvements to performance, resiliency, and reliability.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of technical work, explain individual contributions and technical decisions, and collaborate across engineering, product, architecture, security, and business teams.

Preferred technical skills

  • Experience with identity and access management technologies and standards, including single sign-on, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or SAML.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled engineering tools and practices to improve development speed, code quality, testing, and documentation.
