Enterprise Data Governance Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to balance 'AI Ready Data' and Regulatory Compliance priorities while managing complex, enterprise wide, global data governance projects and initiatives.
  • Effectively partner with Technical Product Owners, peers, and key stakeholders to define roadmaps for technical capabilities that enable data domains to comply with Enterprise Data Governance requirements (e.g. metadata, lineage, data quality).
  • Supports the integration of data governance capabilities across the firm.
  • Develops effective partnerships with stakeholders to ensure ongoing communication, process, and technology integration. Serves as a key liaison amongst Enterprise Trusted Data Office, Enterprise AI & Data Platforms, Global Information Technology and other key internal stakeholders (e.g. Privacy, Security, Risk Management) areas throughout the enterprise.
  • Participate in design, development and deployment of a data quality framework and controls required to measure, report and monitor the quality of data consistently to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Provides expertise on data governance and supports the execution of data governance strategy across the enterprise.
  • Analyzes, identifies, and recommends controls within area of data governance expertise and/or data domain alignment.
  • Identifies opportunities for modernization with an 'AI Ready Data' mindset. Design and develop scalable evergreen solutions to advance data governance across the firm.
  • Develops metrics to measure effectiveness of data governance framework and capabilities meant to enable compliance with policy & standard requirements.
  • Actively participate in the design, development and deployment of data domain operating structure, capabilities and activities resulting in compliance with Enterprise Data Governance policy and standard(s). Accountable for driving adoption of the Enterprise Data Governance framework and compliance with policy & standard requirements.
  • Actively participate in working sessions to map data domains/subdomains with subject matter expertise provided by data owners, business data stewards, technical data stewards and architects.
  • Develops effective partnerships with stakeholders to ensure ongoing communication, process, and
  • Support leaders within business areas and data domain stewardship roles in defining, planning, coordinating, and implementing data domain level data governance roadmap and program deliverables.
  • Partner with data domains to monitor metrics measuring overall progress and effectiveness of data governance at the domain level.
  • Updates and maintains data governance training, playbooks and templates to ensure data domains have appropriate guidance from Enterprise Data Governance to comply with policy and standard requirements
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years related work experience.
  • Collibra or other data governance tool experience (e.g. Informatica, Ab Initio, Alation, Boomi).
  • Proven success designing, developing and driving adoption of an enterprise data governance framework; has been involved in at least 1 end to end data governance framework implementation.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to design, develop and deploy enterprise data quality framework and controls required to measure, report and monitor quality of data consistently to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Metadata and master data management subject matter expertise.
  • Experience leading initiatives to achieve AI Ready Data.
  • Collibra or other data governance tool experience (e.g. Informatica, Ab Initio, Alation, Boomi).
  • Experience enabling compliance with GDPR, CCPA, CPRA.
  • Experience identifying, managing and monitoring data risk.
  • Experience managing risk associated with data use and sharing.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity and technology control design, development, and assessment with a focus on data protection.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders and executives.
