Director, Global Enterprise Data Systems
We are seeking a Director, Global Enterprise Data Systems to provide enterprise-wide leadership for foundational data platforms that underpin critical investment, operational, and regulatory processes.
This role owns the strategy, delivery, and operational health of core enterprise data platforms, including EIP, Polaris, Morningstar, and Books of Record (BORs). The Director leads multiple data product and platform teams and is accountable for platform stability, modernization, and alignment to enterprise priorities. The role also provides senior oversight for global initiatives including the India data strategy and Blue Alpha, ensuring data capabilities scale globally and enable future growth.
This is a highly strategic leadership role requiring strong executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability to balance platform resilience, modernization, delivery velocity, and consumer demand across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Data Platform Leadership
- Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution for enterprise data platforms supporting product, holdings, and operational data.
- Provide single-point accountability for platform reliability, availability, scalability, and evolution.
- Define and manage multi-year roadmaps, prioritization, and sequencing across a diverse set of enterprise consumers.
Strategic Delivery & Modernization
- Lead delivery of platform enhancements, stability improvements, and modernization initiatives.
- Balance ongoing operational demands with long-term transformation objectives, including mainframe retirement and data modernization.
- Ensure platforms remain fit for purpose while enabling new business capabilities and growth initiatives.
Operational Resilience & Data Integrity
- Ensure production stability and resiliency for enterprise-critical data platforms.
- Establish oversight for data quality, availability, and reliability to support downstream business, regulatory, and reporting needs.
- Define operational readiness standards, support models, and clear handoffs to run-the-business teams.

Enterprise Governance & Decision Making
- Lead enterprise-level prioritization and risk decisions impacting critical data assets.
- Establish clear governance, escalation paths, and decision frameworks for data platform issues.
- Provide transparent delivery, risk, and performance reporting to senior leadership.
Global Enablement & Executive Partnership
- Provide strategic leadership for enabling global operating models, including India-based data teams.
- Oversee alignment of enterprise data platforms to strategic programs such as Blue Alpha, Synthetic ETFs, Global Product Plan, and Private Markets initiatives.
- Partner closely with senior leaders across Technology, Product, Operations, and the business to drive enterprise outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale data platforms, technology products, or critical systems with broad cross-functional dependency.
- Proven success owning multiple platforms simultaneously and balancing stability, modernization, and delivery demands.
- Strong executive presence with experience influencing senior leaders and driving enterprise-level decisions.
- Deep expertise in platform governance, delivery management, risk management, and operational readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in complex, matrixed environments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in financial services, investment management, or other highly regulated environments.
- Background supporting global delivery models and offshore or India-based technology teams.
- Experience with enterprise data transformation, platform modernization, or large-scale systems retirement.
