Cloud Engineer - AWS

Vanguard is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Next Gen Hosting Team. As a member of this team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating our cloud-based hosting infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

In this role you will:

• Design, implement, and manage AWS-based hosting solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize cloud-based NextGen Hosting projects
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for AWS-based solutions
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of AWS resources
• Troubleshoot and resolve AWS-related issues
• Stay up-to-date with AWS services and best practices

What it takes:

5+ years of experience with AWS (AWS Certified preferred)

Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)

Experience with cloud automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.)

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

Strong understanding of security and compliance in the cloud

Additional Qualifications that make an impact:

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Knowledge of next-gen hosting technologies (serverless, edge computing, etc.)
• Experience with agile development methodologies
