Program Overview

The Accelerated Career Development Program (ACDP) is a two-year immersive development program that provides skill advancement, mentorship, real-world experience, and targeted training to accelerate participants into project management, sales, or product specialist pathways. These pathways have been intentionally and thoughtfully curated to align with Vanguard's evolving business needs-ensuring we are building the capabilities required for today while preparing crew and leaders for what's next. Each participant will rotate through different divisions, take on key assignments, support long-term strategic initiatives, and help shape the experience of our twenty million investors worldwide!

Position Overview

The Product Specialist supports the development, enhancement, and delivery of investment and technology-driven products. This role partners across business, technology, and data teams to deliver solutions that meet client needs and drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in financial products , technology platforms, data analytics, AI, and strategic product thinking and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Support initiatives and projects that drive impact across technology and investment product domains, contributing to the evolution of capabilities, solutions, and strategic priorities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, technology, and operations.

• Translate business needs into clear requirements and actionable insights , s erve as a liaison between IT and the business, showing strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Analyze product performance and data using analytical tools and dashboards.

• Assist with product launches, product roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Communicate product updates, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

• Stay informed on industry trends, financial markets, emerging technologies , and p ossess strong AI & d ata l iteracy.

• Undergraduate degree in Finance , Economics, Business, Technology, C omputer Science, or Data A nalytics preferred.

• I nterest in financial markets, investment products, and financial services technology, including how digital platforms deliver and support client experiences.

• Proficiency in Excel and exposure to analytical tools or programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R through coursework, projects, or internships.

• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights to support product and business decisions.

• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn, with an interest in applying data and technology to enhance product performance and client outcomes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills across diverse audiences.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
